Day 3 was all about travel and another site trip.  This time I was heading to Vienna, but with a half of a day stop of at Cesky Krumlov.  I got off the train, left my luggage, and hoped a bus at Cesky Budejovice.  A little trivia about my connection city:  it was the home of the original Budweiser before someone grabbed it recipe and headed to America to make their fortune.

It was a beautiful morning by the time I arrived at Cesky Krumlov.  No problem on the travel, but I did feel like I was in a remote area.  Why was I drawn here?  It is a beautiful, little picturesque town in the heard of Bohemia.

As soon as I crossed the gate area, I was instantly transported into another world.  It was positively gorgeous.

After walking around through the town center, it was time to head up into the tower of the castle that takes up the majority of the town.

Such a perfect little stop off for my breakfast, but I had to keep going.  It was back for the luggage and then off to Vienna.

All my travel took awhile today.  It was already dark by the time I arrived in Vienna.  I checked into the hotel and set off again.

I had heard Vienna was ornately beautiful, but I can honestly say this city really surprised me.  I instantly felt like I was in a smaller Paric.  Too bad it had started raining a bit, but I didn't let that deter me.

One of the first buildings that I ever studied in school was the Vienna Opera House.  Pretty cool to be standing outside of it finally.

I took a couple snaps between the bars of the gates, because I knew I probably wouldn't have time to visit the interior.

I finally decided to have a proper sit down meal for the day.  I will admit, this trip tested me on how much I could see.  So since I was in Austria, it only made sense (to me) to go to an Australian restaurant.  Ha ha.  I played a little trivia, which I didn't get much of it and I had a little Australian sample plate.  A little cow, gator (which I had had before), kangaroo (aw, but good rich flavor) and the last bits, fried grasshopper.  You can pretty well fry anything and claim it is food.  I can't say that it really tasted like anything, but I did try it.

After a bit of mindless wandering, a slice of Sacher chocolate cake, and a few games at a casino.  I was done for the night.  Well I had to end it by looking at St Stephen's Cathedral and it's famous roof.
