Vetrice "Me-maw" French

Interesting how that symmetry thing works sometimes. I remarked that one of my last posts from the old blog was David Freese becoming a hero for the Cardinals and me seeing the artifacts from those heroics this past week. One of my other last posts was about my mom's dad passing and this week my mom's mom went to join him, Mom and Uncle Buddy. Me-maw was always the steady one to me. In her own way, she taught me patience, wit and perseverance when you see the challenges life brings. Any time I always asked about how she was feeling, she always said 'about the same', even if things were never the same. It wasn't her ignoring the obvious, but putting the focus on others and having some optimism in times of despair. That is one of those virtues that I always hope to exhibit or at least aspire to have.
