Let's take a break from traveling and explore some of the music that has traveled around with me over the last couple of months. There has been a few really good songs and albums come out since I started my traveling at Labor Day. (Yep, I still have a couple trips to post besides Japan). As always, there may be some big boy language in these songs.....
The Pretty Reckless
'Take Me Down'
Little Cindy Lou Who is back with a little different sound that rocks. For weeks, I kept hearing Sympathy for the Devil every time I heard this track.

Thrice
'Black Honey'
Thrice is a band that probably just had their big breakout song with this one.

The Bay Area Thrashers are back with 2 new songs from their forthcoming album later this year. I can't say that I was immediately drawn to either song, but after giving them some time, they have grown on me. Plus, how do you continually keep making good and different music after almost 35 years?
Metallica
"Hardwired"
Metallica
"Moth Into Flame"

Ghost released an EP (Popestar) this month also. The latest from the shock rocking, faux occult troupe from Sweden continues their string of moody albums of hard hitting, up and coming songs. (For anyone that doesn't know, I am about the music and I laugh at all the theatrics stuff, but they do rock and make great Halloween music)

Lastly, but definitely not the least, Twelve Foot Ninja. They just released their sophomore album (Outlier) and it is the front runner for my album of the year. They are the latest in my line of favorite acts that blend an 'in your face' big sound with a little bit of a humor. (Faith No More, System of a Down). With this album, they have proven to me, at least, that they are here to stay. We just need them to come over from Australia more.
Twelve Foot Ninja
"One Hand Killing"
"Invincible"
I wish I could find better videos of the next 2 songs.
"Monsoon"
"Post Mortem"
This album is so good that I could post the whole thing.

Anyway, there you go. All the music that keeps me sane in all my travels (which is not a stress causer for me) and all my work (no comment :-) ).
Happy Friday!!!!
